Flowers and plants, photographed
Botanists, gardeners and photographers have uploaded hundreds of thousands of plant photos to Wikimedia Commons, many identified down to the species, and Flickr’s Creative Commons photos add more through Openverse. These pages collect flowers in bloom, close-ups of petals and leaves, and potted and garden plants.
Tips
Close-ups with soft backgrounds work as section images and social posts; whole plants against plain backgrounds can be cut out for packaging and catalogues. Search for the plant’s name, common or Latin, for better matches than a general word: “Tulipa”, “monstera” or “lavender field”.
Every image shows its licence. Most are CC BY or CC BY-SA, so keep the credit line with the image.
